Getting to Zagreb

By Air

Zagreb Airport is located 17 km from the centre of the city, or 20-25 minutes by bus. Information on flights can be obtained by calling +385 1 6265 222.
To reach the City by Taxi you will incur cost of approximately 150 Kunas (£15, $27, €20.40). The most convenient way to get to the City is by taking bus from the Zagreb Airport bus terminal to the Central Bus Station on Marin Držić Avenue. One way ticket costs 30 Kunas (£3, $5.50, €4). Croatia Airlines offers direct connections with major European cities. There are several budget carriers flying to Croatia and these are listed below. For now, Wizzair and Germanwings offer direct flights to Zagreb from UK and Germany.


By Train

Zagreb is well connected to other European cities by rail, with daily international services to Munich, Vienna, Venice, Budapest, Paris, Geneva, Graz and Moscow. Trains arrive and depart from the Main Railway Station. It is located in the centre of the City (at Kralj Tomislav Square 12, a ten minutes walk from the central city square). By Road

Zagreb is at the crossroads of travel between the southern part of eastern and western Europe, and there are four main routes leading to and from the city. The E70 connects Trieste-Ljubljana-Zagreb; the E63, Klagenfurt-Ljubljana-Zagreb; the E59, Graz-Maribor-Zagreb; and the E65, Budapest-Varaždin-Zagreb.

Numerous bus lines connect Zagreb with main cities and towns across Croatia and in neighboring countries. The Central Bus Station is located on Marin Drzic Avenue, a few minutes by tram (line number 6) from the central city square. From the UK National Express has a daily bus from London to Zagreb (33hours). In addition, Eurolines offers connections to most European countries. Some of the local bus lines handling international routes include Croatia Bus.

Getting to the Hotel

The Hotel Jadran is located in the heart of Zagreb in Vlaška Street. City's central square is within 5 minutes walking distance. Venue of the ZAGIMUN 2007 is also 15 minutes walk away.

From The Central Bus Station

Taxi ride will cost you 40 Kunas (£4, $7.50, €5.50). You can easily reach the hotel with a tram. Take tram line number 7 (direction Dubrava) or number 8 (direction Mihaljevac) and get off at Draškovićeva Steet (five stops away), take the right turn on the corner and your hotel will be minute away. Tram tickets can be purchased at most newspaper stands, singly or in packs of 10. Each ticket costs 7 Kunas and gives you 90 minutes of travel, starting from when you first climb aboard and validate the ticket in a machine.

From the Main Railway Station

Taxi ride will also cost you 40 Kunas (£4, $7.50, €5.50). The most convenient way to reach your hotel from here is by taking tram line number 4 and getting off at Draškovićeva Street (four stops away). Please see section above for more details.
